Natasha will be turning 47 today!

Stars including Uma Thurman, Bono and Sarah Jessica Parker joined Natasha Richardson’s family in New York on Monday for a memorial service to mark the late actress’ birthday.

Richardson, who would have turned 47 on Tuesday, died last March after a freak skiing accident.

Her loved ones, including widower Liam Neeson, her mother Vanessa Redgrave, and sister Joely Richardson, gathered in the Big Apple on Monday for a remembrance service at the city’s Roundabout Theatre Company.

A host of stars turned out to pay their respects including Parker, her husband Matthew Broderick, and Pulp Fiction star Thurman. The service was especially poignant for Bono – the U2 frontman, who attended with his wife Ali Hewson, turned 50 on the day of the service.

In order to honour Natasha Richardson as shewould have been 47 today… Let’s donate to AMFAR’sfoundation! http://bit.ly/bmY1Mh

A New York City snowstorm can’t deter Hollywood’s brightest stars from supporting Natasha Richardson’s favorite charity.

Lady Gaga, Meryl Streep and Sigourney Weaver attended Wednesday’s amfAR gala to raise money to fight HIV/AIDS and honor Richardson, who died in a skiing accident last March.

Richardson became a champion for HIV/AIDS research after her father, director Tony Richardson, died of it in 1991.

Brooke Shields was overcome with emotion on the red carpet and struggled to articulate her feelings for her friend, whom she described as a beautiful woman and brilliant mother.

Streep sang an a cappella Irish number. Lady Gaga performed “Future Love” while covered in pearls and white body paint.

Meryl Streep: ‘it really takes guts to get up and sing after Lady Gaga and Rufus. The sacred and the profane.’ Streep singing an Irish song ‘for Tasha and for all the people who aren’t here tonight’.

More Vanessa Redgrave paying tribute to Natasha: “My darling Natasha, I’m so proud of your courage, your hard work, your total commitment and your beautiful, life-giving spirit. Thank you.”

Richardson’s mother, actress Vanessa Redgrave, described Richardson’s advocacy as her life’s mission.

The American Foundation for AIDS Research (amFAR) will hold a special gala in New York on February 10 in memory of actress Natasha Richardson, a trustee of the organization who died in a skiing accident last year.

The event will also honor Elton John and his partner, David Furnish, as well as Yves Carcelle. Among the leadership committee are Liam Neeson, Vanessa Redgrave, Joely Richardson, Sharon Stone, Stanley Tucci and Kenneth Cole. Meryl Streep will also attend and will assist in presenting the tribute to Natasha Richardson.

This black-tie gala benefit at Cipriani 42nd Street honors those who have made outstanding efforts to raise awareness about the HIV/AIDS epidemic and to raise dollars for AIDS research. The gala, held on the eve of New York Fashion Week, will begin with cocktails, followed by dinner, a live auction of luxury items, and a special tribute to the honorees.
