Friends of late actress Natasha Richardson have apparently decided to name an English rose in her honour. The 45-year-old actress, who was married to Liam Neeson, died earlier this year after a skiing accident in Canada.

A friend of Richardson and Neeson is quoted by MSN as saying: “We all want something to remember Natasha and there’s no-one who better resembles a perfect English rose than her.”

They added: “The whole family loves the idea of having a rose named after her.”

Six months after actress Natasha Richardson died following a fall at the Mount Tremblant ski resort in Quebec, the company that operates the facility has announced helmet requirements at its North American resorts.

Vancouver-based Intrawest said Thursday it will recommend all skiers and snowboarders wear helmets when the ski season begins in a few weeks.

Richardson, the 45-year-old wife of actor Liam Neeson, died in March after falling during a skiing lesson and suffering a head injury at Mount Tremblant.

Intrawest operates nine ski resorts including Mount Tremblant in Quebec, Panorama Mountain near Invermere, British Columbia, and Whistler Blackcomb, which will host alpine events for the 2010 Winter Games.

Liam Neeson has said that he and his two sons are still trying to cope with his wife Natasha Richardson’s death, and are “taking each day as it comes”.

The ‘Taken’ actor said that he and his sons Micheal, 14, and Daniel, 12, were still in grief after the sudden death of Natasha in March, reports the China Daily.

“We’re doing good. We are still getting extraordinary condolence letters from American people. That’s deeply, deeply touching,” said the 57-year-old star in an appearance on US TV show ‘Good Morning America’.

In fact, he said that he was overwhelmed with the sympathy from the US public, which even inspired him to become an American citizen, more than 20 years after he moved to the country.

“That is partly the reason that I have recently become an American citizen. I was born in Northern Ireland but America has been very, very good to me,” he said.

“I am still a proud Irishman, but I have become an American citizen, and am very proud of that,” he added.

The interview was the first time Liam publicly spoke since Natasha died of a brain injury after a skiing accident.

Liam Neeson, whose wife Natasha Richardson died in March after a skiing accident, recently said he and his two sons are taking each day as it comes.

At a party Monday night to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the theater magazine Playbill, Richardson’s aunt Lynn Redgrave echoed Neeson’s sentiments.

“Well, we just go on, day by day,” the actress, 66, said. “We remember her every day, we’ll never forget. She was a bright, bright light in our lives.”

Redgrave attended the event, part of Bon Appétit’s annual pop-up Supper Club, along with such other stage and screen luminaries as John Stamos, Gina Gershon, Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Justin Kirk.

Redgrave wrote and stars in the one-woman play Nightingale, a fictional recreation of the life of her late grandmother, Beatrice Kempton. In a video interview about the play posted on her Web site, Redgrave, a breast cancer survivor, talks about Kempton and seems to allude to Richardson’s tragic death.

“And now, some other things have happened in my life, which have made it very, very, very important that I hold hands with both the living and the dead,” she says in the video. “In my journey through life to right now, I realize that most people feel that way, they have to have something reaching back.”

At the dinner, Redgrave – part of an historic acting dynasty – said she plans to continue working in the theater “until somebody tackles me and throws me to the floor and says, ‘Don’t do it anymore!’ ” She was also quick to note, “They haven’t done that yet.”

Liam Neeson returned to his late wife Natasha Richardson’s favorite holiday spot once again this July.

Neeson, joined by good friend and English actor Ralph Fiennes and his13-year-old son, Michael, traveled to the French beach getaway of St. Tropez for the second time since his wife’s tragic death.

The Ballymena born actor last visited the vacation spot, where he often traveled with Richardson during their marriage, in April for an Easter retreat following Richardson’s sudden death after a skiing accident in March.

“She (Natasha) would have a plan on arrival anywhere and would be carving the best out of life and every situation and every person,” Thurman tells the July issue of Harper’s Bazaar U.K., on sale today. “She wasn’t as much a passenger as I am, which made us great companions in life … because every driver needs a passenger … and every passenger needs a driver. So it’s a big loss in my life.”

Richardson’s death from a freak skiing accident earlier this year has inspired Thurman to make sure she lives her life to its fullest. The 39-year-old actress, who was married to and shares two children with actor Ethan Hawke, is currently readying for a London wedding to British tycoon/philanthropist Arki Busson.

“Isn’t life amazing? Isn’t life full of surprises? When it comes to things like marriage, you just never know,” Thurman says. “I find that growing up has been all about realizing that life gets more serious, and that it’s also really important to increase your sense of humor.”

Apparently, for Thurman, it’s also really important to increase the number of houses you own in posh vacation destinations.

“I would buy a country house in virtually every country in the world if I could,” she said (and with Busson’s billions, she probably could!). “I also want a country house in Italy, France, Switzerland; I have aspirations in Mexico …. virtually all coastal regions. I just have this constant curiosity to open a clam in every country and eat the squirming things from every shore.”

Beloved late actress Natasha Richardson remembered a Queens costume designer, a London employee and her half-sister by setting aside a chunk of cash for each in her will — but she left the bulk of her assets to husband Liam Neeson, according to her estate papers.

The London-born actress, who died a few days after a seemingly innocent fall during a March ski vacation in Quebec, would have turned 46 on May 11.

Her will was written in 2005, and Neeson, along with one of the couple’s closest friends, actor Aidan Quinn, are listed as the executors of the estate.

The couple had homes in Manhattan and the Hudson Valley, where Richardson was buried.

The actress, daughter of actors Vanessa Redgrave and Tony Richardson, bequeathed $200,000 to half-sister Katharine Grimond Hess; $50,000 to Josephine Burke, an employee who lives in London; and $10,000 to Queens resident Kevin Mark Harris, who works in television as a costumer.

She also left $20,000 for her aunt.
