“She (Natasha) would have a plan on arrival anywhere and would be carving the best out of life and every situation and every person,” Thurman tells the July issue of Harper’s Bazaar U.K., on sale today. “She wasn’t as much a passenger as I am, which made us great companions in life … because every driver needs a passenger … and every passenger needs a driver. So it’s a big loss in my life.”

Richardson’s death from a freak skiing accident earlier this year has inspired Thurman to make sure she lives her life to its fullest. The 39-year-old actress, who was married to and shares two children with actor Ethan Hawke, is currently readying for a London wedding to British tycoon/philanthropist Arki Busson.

“Isn’t life amazing? Isn’t life full of surprises? When it comes to things like marriage, you just never know,” Thurman says. “I find that growing up has been all about realizing that life gets more serious, and that it’s also really important to increase your sense of humor.”

Apparently, for Thurman, it’s also really important to increase the number of houses you own in posh vacation destinations.

“I would buy a country house in virtually every country in the world if I could,” she said (and with Busson’s billions, she probably could!). “I also want a country house in Italy, France, Switzerland; I have aspirations in Mexico …. virtually all coastal regions. I just have this constant curiosity to open a clam in every country and eat the squirming things from every shore.”

“Every driver needs a passenger … and every passenger needs a driver” — I like that concept. It is so true. When you lose the other, there’s a constant void in your life. Very sad – always sad – about Natasha. She was the best. She and Uma seemed to have a wonderful friendship.

I like that she was a leader. She did so many fantastic things with her time here. I love that so many people admired her and that she seemed like such a genuine and wonderful person. Dearly missed.

I just watched Natasha’s story on E and I really felt a connection. It made me happy and sad all at the same time. I lost my best friend about 1 year ago in a car accident. She was 42 and the mother of 2 teen boys. She was a dazzling gorgeous blond in the prime of her life. Everyone who crossed her path loved her and I felt like the luckiest girl in the word to get to call her my best friend. I can completely understand and relate to what an amazing person Natasha was.

To her friends and family; I know that these few words from a stranger may not mean much but it is always comforting to know that you are not alone. I am so sorry for the terrible void that you feel everyday and I wish you strength, love and positive memories in your days ahead……

Natasha was such a beautiful lady I watched the program on T.V. about her . She seemed to be sucha loving child and daughter of Vanessa Redgrave and a wonderful wife , mother and sister, as well as, a marvelous actress. May God Bless all of her family and May she rest forevermore in the Hand of a Loving Savior. May she Rest in the Peace of God’s Love .

Hard to believe it has been 7 months already. I still check this site and somehow hoping for new information. Like many people, she inspired me with her movies, her interviews and her love for her family. Still wishing it wasn’t true.
Can’t imagine how hard it is for Liam, her sons, her mother and sister. She was just coming into her own. Such a loss, but we can only believe her job was complete in this life and she now lives in paradise.
